一、教学内容分析本节课是人教版(新目标)英语七年级下册第八单元Is there a post office near here?
第一节课时的教学内容。要求学习使用There be句型问句及其回答,熟练掌握与话题相关的常用词汇与表达法。学会询问街道上某一场所的位置,阐述如何到达某一场所。并能根据简单的地图、句子等描述和传递信息。
二、教学目标
一、知识与技能1)掌握相关地名:post office(邮局)、library(图书馆)、hotel(旅馆)、restaurant(饭店)supermarket(超市)、 street(街道)…2)掌握问路与指路的常用语* Where is …?

二、过程与方法
1. 学习表示地点名词hospital, pay phone,和方位介词,因为有一定的英语知识,有能力学习本课内容。

三、学习者特征分析从初一的特点来看,他们外语基础薄弱,学习外语兴趣不浓,因此要充分利用各种教育资源,多媒体教学手段,通过视,听,表演,说,写等多种教学策略给输入可理解的语言,尤其要激发学习英语的兴趣。
四、教学策略选择与设计本课时的设计突出兴趣培养,注重在轻松愉悦的气氛中学习英语,所以本课设计较多是情景对话,本课时的设计参考了新目标教学教师用书,依照新课改要求突出情感目标和多说多练进行设计。
五、教学重点及难点教学重点:单词:hotel restaurant bank hospital street behind along turn across fromIn front of turn right/left句型:Is/Are there----?
Yes, there is /are. No, there isn’t/aren’t教学难点:单词: police station restaurant center hospital句型: The hole is behind the police station.
